Gerard Jipping NL
Kennel El Harakat Afghan Hounds

I have been in dogs for all my life and since 1976 I have Afghan Hounds. From about 1985 I started to show dogs and made many (International) championships in different Countries especially in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In 1992 I became more and more interesting in dogs and so I started with my study for dogs and did in 1995 my first exams for a breed, the Afghan hound. Ten years later, in 2006 I became a judge for all Sight hounds from FCI-Group 10 and in 2007 I am also Judge for different dogs from FCI-Group 5. I have already judged all over the world.

Since 1994 we breed Afghans under the kennel name “El Harakat”. We had till now 7 litters and puppies from “El Harakat” are all over the world like France, USA, Germany, Switzerland and Denmark etc.

I like also to do many things for the dog and its people, so I was:
- Secretary of the national Show committee Hochdahl/Duisburg (Germany)
- President of the Int. Show committee KC. DOIJ (Netherlands)
- Member of the dispute committee of the Dutch Kennel Club “Raad van Beheer”
- Intern president of club with problems

On the moment I am:

- since 1991 president of the Dutch Sighthoundsclub NVOW
- since 2003 board member of the Dutch Kennel Club "Raad van Beheer"
- since 2003 member of the FCI Show committee
- since 2004 president of the Dutch Kennel Club "Raad van Beheer"
